Who We Are
Our Mission: Make-A-Wish® Iowa is a non-profit organization where together, we create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.
Our Vision: To grant the wish of every eligible child.
What We Do
Make-A-Wish grants a wish every 34 minutes to children in the U.S. and its territories. We are on a quest to bring every eligible child’s wish to life, because a wish is an integral party of a child’s treatment journey.
Last year, the Iowa chapter granted 181 wishes. Since our founding, we have granted almost 4,000 wishes throughout all 99 counties in our chapter’s territory including the Siouxland Area.
The Iowa chapter works with more than 400 volunteers. In addition, we are governed by a volunteer board of directors who are committed to making a difference in the lives of kids who are battling critical illnesses.
