Who We Are
The mission of MakerSpace is to create a space where people come together to make things through hands-on learning, share knowledge with others and have fun while doing it. Our purpose is to empower everyone to learn, teach and make; as well as have something to contribute to the maker movement. MakerSpace provides a place for everyone to meet and collaborate. The opportunities can be limitless when people come together in a space where creativity has room to grow.
What We Do
MakerSpace Sioux City, a 501(c)3 organization, is a member-operated shared space dedicated to serving the creative community in the Siouxland area. Our goal is to establish and operate a space where hobbyists, inventors, artists and innovative people from all walks of life can come together and share their enthusiasm and knowledge.
Our 12,000 square foot facility at 1401 Tri-View Ave. in Sioux City houses classrooms, workspace, and shops. Members enjoy access throughout the day and help co-manage our space by teaching classes, maintaining equipment and promoting making in the community. Working together and collaborating will enable us to fill our space with a wide variety of innovative gadgets and machines to build just about anything.
