Who We Are

The Environmental Services Division is responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations specified in the City's NPDES  MS4 stormwater permit, administering the City's solid waste contract, working to protect and enhance our natural resources, and to provide assistance to residents on matters of environmental concern.

Volunteers serve on the Advisory Board for the Division.

What We Do

The City of Sioux City Environmental Advisory Board is a nine-member board whose mission is to promote environmentally sound practices, plan for the preservation of our community’s natural resources for future generations, and educate community members on environmental topics, including solid waste reduction, recycling, stormwater pollution, and other pertinent environmental issues such as ecosystem awareness, energy efficiency, and systems-based approaches to sustainability.
