Description

1 out of every 10 students in the Sioux City Community School lack the resources to purchase school supplies, clothing, shoes, and more.

On average, student and parent applicants include:

  • 500 are homeless.

  • 70% are on the free and reduced lunch program.

  • Migrants arriving daily from 59 countries.

Teachers purchase out-of-their-own pockets: books, curriculum aids, and more not on the school lists or provided by the District.
