Who We Are

The Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center's purpose is to: provide quality environmental education programs and outdoor recreation experiences; to manage our natural resources in an ecologically sound manner; and to conserve and interpret our natural, historic, and cultural resources.
Volunteers play a special role at the Nature Center and Woodbury County Parks. Whether interested in volunteering once a week, once a month or occasionally for a special event, the opportunities are endless. Our volunteers receive annual recognition, informal education and rewarding opportunities.
