UnityPoint Health-St. Luke's Children's Miracle Network is part of St. Luke's Foundation. We are proud to one of 170 hospitals designated as a Children's Miracle Network Hospital throughout North America.

What do we do? We invest in local miracles!

Superheroes like you help St. Luke’s Children’s Miracle Network provide critical equipment and services for a record 24,195 pediatric visits. We approved over $151,000 in grant requests in 2017 for our hospital's pediatric and neonatal intensive care units, emergency department, maternal-fetal medicine, outpatient pediatric therapy and others to provide more treatment options closer to home.

We serve Siouxland children who are facing serious conditions such as leukemia and prematurity, chronic illnesses like lupus & ulcerative colitis. We also help kids with common injuries like sporting concussions or appendicitis, and we support more than 2,000 healthy deliveries at our hospital every year.

We purchase state-of-the-art equipment and establish education and preventive programs that are keeping more kids and babies in Siouxland for their medical needs. Here are some of the exciting investments planned for 2018:

• $40,000 for an updated playroom in our pediatric unit. Through donations and a grant from the Gilchrist Foundation, we’ll transform an underutilized space into a destination of fun and creativity for patients.
• $41,000 for a new Giraffe Omnibed for the smallest and sickest babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), bringing our total to three.
• $260,000 for additional equipment and programs like our Pediatric Injury Prevention Program or our new Pediatric Hospitalist Program which is scheduled to begin in February. The Pediatric Hospitalist Program offers specialized care at UnityPoint Health-St. Luke’s for infants and kids and will allow more kids to stay in Siouxland for their hospitalizations.
