Who We Are
Support Siouxland Soldiers is a non-profit, volunteer organization that connects Veterans and Military families with each other, the community and local resources in the Siouxland area. Founded in 2007 as a care-pack program for our deployed Troops, each year we now host over 24 support events, provide 3,500 meals, distribute 100,000 lbs. of groceries and provide emergency support for our local Siouxland Veterans, Service Members and Military families. There are over 18,000 Veterans in the Siouxland area and we need 1,000 volunteers each year. We are funded by the Siouxland Community and 100% of the dollars we raise stay right here helping our Siouxland Heroes and their families. In 2018 we:
- provided over 3500 hot meals
- distributed over 50,000 lbs. of groceries
- hosted 20 support events, 5 resource fairs
- and engaged over 750 volunteers to serve and support our Siouxland Veterans and Military families.
